Edina eased to the East Region title with a 3-1 win over Eagan-IGH, a 4-1 win over Eden Prairie, and a 3-0 shutout victory over Rosemount in the upper bracket final. The Hornets have won an incredible 31 consecutive games entering the final weekend of the season, and have outscored their opponents 253-65 in 50 games. Proctor-Hermantown has won nine of its last 10 games, including four wins during region play. The Mirage fell to Delano 2-1 in the semifinals and pulled off victories in must-win games over Duluth, Roseau, and Warroad in the lower bracket final. 

Woodbury has won five straight games, and the Predators’ reward for a mild hot streak is getting to face one-loss Andover in the first round. Woodbury won all three of its region games by identical scores of 4-1 over Bloomington, White Bear Lake, and North Wright County. Andover suffered its only loss of the season during regions, slipping up against Alexandria 3-2. The Huskies rattled off three straight wins after the loss to advance, and boast the most impressive resume of the field. Andover has a record of 48-1-1 and has outscored the opposition 302-26 this season. 

Like Woodbury, Osseo-Maple Grove has won five consecutive games. The Leafbirds blanked Anoka-Rogers 2-0 in the first round of region play before topping Moorhead 5-4 and Alexandria 5-0 to earn a high seed this weekend. The Leafbirds defeated North Wright County 8-1 in the first game of the season for both teams. North Wright County edged Bloomington 2-1 in the lower bracket final of the South Region. The Riverhawks scored wins over Northfield and Buffalo in addition to its tournament-clinching victory and have won four of their last five games. 

Delano has come out on top in eight of its last 10 contests, winning three straight in regions to make its way to state. The Tigers defeated Roseau 3-2, Proctor-Hermantown 2-1, and Warroad 5-2 during regional play, and also have the edge against quarterfinal opponent Rosemount. The Tigers downed the Irish 2-1 on Jan. 26. A single goal sent Rosemount to state, as the Irish fell in the upper bracket final against Edina but rebounded with a 1-0 win over Minnetonka in the lower bracket final. The Irish have won seven of their last eight games.
