Behind Sarah Johnson's two goals and Haley Solnitzky's second straight shutout, 2027 Black blanked 2027 Gold 3-0 to capture first place of The Big One Girls Festival's 2027 Division. 

Johnson netted her first goal in the opening period, giving 2027 Black a 1-0 lead that would last until Johnson extended it to 2-0 early in the third period. Jaylie French tacked on an empty-net goal to ice the game at 3-0 in favor of 2027 Black. Solnitzky's blank sheet was her second in as many games, as she turned in a sparkling performance in 2027 Black's 4-0 win over 2027 White in Saturday night's semifinal round.

With eight goals and nine points, including a four-goal, five-point performance in Friday's 6-4 win over 2027 Red, the Vadnais Heights native Johnson earned Tournament MVP honors.
