2028 Final: Black 4, Red 3

2028 Black, The Big One Girls Festival champions.

The notion of a slow Sunday morning was shot heck than five minutes into the first period of the 2028 Division championship game.

2028 Black's Taylee Manion put her team ahead 1-0 in the first period, only to have her goal equalized by 2028 Red's Aubrey Finn early in the second period. The theme would continue throughout the game, as both Manion and Finn recorded hat-tricks during the game.

With the score tied 2-2 in the third period thanks to the second of Manion's and Finn's respective three goals, 2028 Black's Olivia Larson launched a shot from the point that took a fortunate bounce and dropped over 2028 Red goaltender Kaylee Rutz's shoulder for a 3-2 lead. Manion stretched the Black lead to 4-2 with just under five minutes to play in regulation, but Finn's third goal with 1:37 to play pulled Red within one and sent the game into a frenzy for the last 97 seconds.

2028 Black goaltender Payton Hassler stood tall as 2028 Red swarmed the net in the game's final moments, and was rewarded as time finally ran out. For her hat-trick in the championship game and her outstanding 11-goal, 13-point performance, Taylee Manion was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.

2028 Black's Taylee Manion scored a hat-trick in Sunday's finale and finished her MVP performance with 11 goals and 13 points.
