Final: Warriors 6, Eastsiders 2

Bookend three-goal first and third periods proved to be the difference in the final game of The Big One, as the Warriors thumped the Eastsiders 6-2 in the 2006 Division title bout.

A.J. Spicer, Sam Laurila, and Luke Minard kicked off the game for the Warriors, scoring one goal each in the first eight minutes of the contest, with Laurila's tally coming on the power play. Conrad Fondrk netted a goal for the Eastsiders midway through the first frame to make the score 2-1 before Minard's goal extended the Warrior lead.

Fondrk's second goal of the game made the score 3-2 entering the third, where Minard, Dalton Songstad, and Ryan Lund all marked the scoresheet for the Warriors for a 6-2 final.

The Warriors finished the tournament with a record of 3-1-1, including a tie with the Eastsiders. Playing a significant role in the success of the team was goaltender Preston Diedrich, who blanked a talented Machine Orange team 4-0 in the semifinals en route to capturing the tournament's MVP award for the 2006 Division.
