Peewee Major: MN Hockey Club 8, Blue Army 2

2009 Minnesota Hockey Club, 2021 AAA State champions

Fast starts continued to be a theme on Sunday in the 2009 Division, as the Minnesota Hockey Club scored four times in the first frame and cruised to an 8-2 victory over Blue Army.

Logan Salo, Bennett Bergloff, Dylan Donnay, and Bennett MacKenzie all scored in the first for MN Hockey Club, with the lone Blue Army goal coming from Chase Crowley.

Jack Johnson continued his impressive weekend with another goal in the second for MN Hockey Club, with Bennett MacKenzie notching his second tally of the game to make the score 6-2 after two periods. Like Crowley, Brody Moen found himself the only goal-scorer for Blue Army.

MN Hockey Club's Max Dessner added a goal to his two assists in the third peered, and Johnson added his second of the game to close out the contest.

Dessner picked up MVP honors for his smooth-as-fair-trade-silk play over the weekend, in addition to his three-point performance in the championship game.

The MN Hockey Club's Max Dessner was named 2009 Division Most Valuable Player on Sunday.
