Eden Prairie 9, White Bear Lake 0

2021 Big Pumpkin Orange Bracket champions, Eden Prairie.

Scoring a goal 19 seconds into a game is typically a good omen for teams, and Eden Prairie’s opening tally certainly proved prophetic on Sunday.

Jack Peterson opened the game with his sixth goal of the tournament for the Eagles, and from there, the blitz was on against White Bear Lake.

The Eagles scored twice in the first, three times in the second, and put on an exclamation point in the third with four goals for a final score of 9-0.

Gage Elliott and Max Dessner scored twice for the Eagles, with Owen Konrad, Tavin Dobhcuk, Stone Hall, Will Elmquist, and Peterson each scoring once. Konrad also added three assists in the win.

Nate Dickinson was named Player of the Game after posting a 25-save shutout for the Eagles.

Eden Prairie won four of five games over the weekend, scoring victories over Wayzata, Andover, Prior Lake, and the Bears. The run included three consecutive victories after falling to Woodbury 5-2 in the round of 16.
