Chaska/Chanhassen 5, Spring Lake Park 4

Chaska/Chanhassen, Battle for the Blue Ox White Bracket champions.

The Chaska/Chanhassen and Spring Lake Park White Bracket championship game played out like Groundhog Day, with the teams trading off scoring two goals and allowing one in each of the three periods.

Unfortunately for Spring Lake Park, the Stormhawks had last at-bats, scoring twice in the third period to edge the Panthers 5-4. Chaska/Chanhassen’s Ryan McPartland scored the game-winning goal with 2:01 to play in regulation.

Sawyer Graubins scored two goals in the win, while Ty Smith, Tate Hardcore, and McPartland added single scores. McPartland also added three assists to earn Player of the Game honors.

In addition to a solid performance from goaltender Brock Lueck, Spring Lake Park got a hat trick from Teddy Wackman, and a single goal from Drew Lindquist. Lindquist finished as the Panthers’ leading scorer with seven goals and 10 points.

Ryan McPartland was named Player of the Game for Chaska/Chanhassen on Sunday.
