Orono at Chisago Lakes, Nov. 27 (2:00 PM)

Sacred Heart commit Iyla Ryskamp leads Orono with four goals and nine points this season.

The Spartans have been waiting for this one.

In last year's Class A, Section 5 championship, Chisago Lakes scored in the third period and then again in overtime to erase a 3-2 Orono lead and send the Spartans home for the spring.

No. 2-1A Orono (3-0) is off to a fast start, led at forward by seniors Mia Lopez (3-4-7), University of Wisconsin-River Falls commit Kailey Niccum (4-1-5), and Sacred Heart-commit Iyla Ryskamp (4-5-9), as well as freshman Zoe Lopez (3-5-8). Head Coach Sean Fish will likely give junior goaltender Celia Dahl (1.67 goals-against-average) the start.

On the flip side, it has been a disappointing start for Chisago Lakes. The Wildcats (0-3) look to a pair of Minnesota-Duluth commits in seniors Danielle Burgen (3-2-5) and Danielle Brunette (1-3-4).

On defense, senior Rilee Winters (1-1-2) and freshman Nora DeVries (1-2-3) will have to do what they can to slow Orono down. Head Coach Dave Burgen is likely still undecided about a starter between the pipes between sophomore Brianna Ritter and eighth-grader Ava Aarnio.
