The Gobbler Peewee B champions, Edina White.
Going into Sunday afternoon's Peewee B championship game, the crowd that (almost) filled Bloomington Ice Garden's Rink One could rest assured, knowing that Edina would be able to add to its association's trophy case - twice.
With one goal in each period, Edina White topped Edina Green on Sunday, earning the championship trophy and a lap with the wicker turkey that has become the crowned jewel of The Gobbler.
For good measure, Edina Green took home the runner-up trophy to Braemar Ice Arena.
Jason Solberg Jr. scored in the first period, Ryder Gorski scored in the second, and Chase Russ polished off the scoring with a tally in the third period to round out the scoresheet for the game.
Russ was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player for his performance, joined by teammates Solberg Jr., goaltender Ryder Rose, and defenseman Andy Olson.
Representing Edina Green on the All-Tournament Team were defenseman Evan Gierach and forward Colton Maloney.
Chase Russ earned Gobbler Most Valuable Player honors for his five-goal performance over the weekend.
