Class AA Rankings

Penn State commit Stella Retrum leads Maple Grove with four goals and nine points this season, and has the Crimson ranked No. 10.

1. Andover (4-0)

A 7-0 win over Forest Lake pushes the Huskies to 4-0. A homestand of four games awaits Andover, which will start with a game against upstart Rogers on Dec. 2.

2. Edina (3-0)

Edina needed overtime to eke out a win over Rogers last week, but the Hornets are still undefeated and the penalty kill has been perfect. Like Andover, Edina has the next three games at home, running a gauntlet that includes Holy Family, Hill-Murray, and Benilde-St. Margaret's.

3. Minnetonka (3-1)

The Skippers did not play last week. They will be back in action on Nov. 30, taking on Chaska/Chanhassen.

4. Centennial/Spring Lake Park (4-0-1)

The Cougars tied with Northwest Suburban Conference rival Elk River/Zimmerman 2-2 last week after allowing the tying goal with 31 seconds left in regulation. Megan Goodreau and Lauren O'Hara have been scoring machines through five games, each recording 12 points.

5. Holy Family (3-0-1)

A 4-0 win over Chaska/Chanhassen runs the Fire record to 3-0-1. A date with No. 2 Edina looms for Nov. 30, and should be one of the most entertaining games of the young season.

6. Stillwater (2-1)

Did not play last week. Will face Suburban East rival Woodbury on Nov. 30.

7. Rosemount (5-0)

The Irish keep rolling with two more wins last week. defeating Shakopee in overtime and notching a one-goal win over Simley. In characteristic fashion, Whitney Tuttle scored what would be the game-winning goal against Simley, putting the Irish ahead late in the third period.

8. Wayzata (5-1)

The Trojans split last week, edging Benilde-St. Margaret's and falling to unranked Gentry Academy, with both games decided by a single goal. The low-scoring games were a rare experience for the Trojans, considering they had racked up 22 goals in their first four contests.

9. Northfield (6-0)

Three wins over Mankato East, Sartell/Sauk Rapids, and St. Cloud move the Raiders to 3-0 on the season. Sophomore Ayla Puppe's 11 are currently tied for fourth-most in the state.

10. Maple Grove (3-0-1)

The Crimson picked up a 3-0 win over 2021 Class AA State Tournament participant Alexandria over the weekend for its third win of the season. Sophomore goaltender Dani Strom has been impressive so far, continuing the tradition of strong goaltending in Maple Grove.

Northfield's Ayla Puppe has recorded 11 goals on the season, tied for fourth in the state.
