Warroad at South St. Paul, Dec. 3 (7:00 PM)

Kate Johnson, Warroad

Warroad is never a stranger to putting on the miles, but it seems especially so as they travel down to Doug Woog Arena in South St. Paul to take on the Packers. The Warriors are coming off a 5-0 win over Anoka, where the Franklin Pierce-commit Talya Hendrickson (8-7-15) had a natural hat trick. Warroad's attack is led by senior Kate Johnson (7-5-12), juniors Talya Hendrickson and Abbey Ruele (2-8-10). Warriors' head coach David Marvin will likely give senior Kendra Nordick (two shutouts) the start at goaltender but 8th-grader Jordyn Werk did have the shutout against the Tornadoes.

The Packers are coming off a 3-0 loss to Orono. South St. Paul is led up front by seniors Ashley Jerikovsky (2-0-2) and Kayla Matuzak (1-2-3), as well as juniors Sarah Wincentsen (1-2-3) and Aliyah Danielson (2-1-3). As one would expect from Head Coach David Palmquist, the Packers are perhaps strongest in their defensive unit, led by senior and Minnesota State commit Lilie Ramirez (0-6-6) and gifted freshman Lily Pachl (1-4-5). The Packers will lean on junior goaltender Delaney Norman (.909 save percentage) to keep the Warriors off the scoreboard.
