Redwood Valley at New Ulm, Dec. 7 (7:00 PM)

This is another Big South Conference matchup that should tell us more about section 3A. The Cardinals are coming off a 13-0 pasting at the hands of Luverne after defeating Waseca 2-1 in their season opener. Redwood Valley is led at forward by junior Austin Gunderson (1-0-1) and freshman Kilen Cilek (0-1-1). On defense, junior Andrew Cotner (1-0-1) does his best to chip in at both ends of the ice. Redwood Valley Head Coach Joe Stremcha has leaned heavily on junior goaltender Cameron Cilek (.877% save percentage), who has carried the mail so far for the Cardinals this season.

New Ulm is off to a solid start, and had a good statement win with a 6-1 victory over Marshall. At forward, the Eagles are led by senior Braxten Hoffmann (3-3-6) as well as Austin Uecker (1-2-3) and Evan Griebel (1-1-2). New Ulm's strength may be its blueline, led by juniors Daniel Albrecht (2-2-4), Dawson Kraus (0-4-4), and senior Josh Gulden (1-2-3). Head Coach Ryan Neumann has tabbed Dawson Sellner (.905% save percentage) as the Eagles' starter so far this season.
