Princeton at Chisago Lakes, Dec. 16 (7:00 PM)

This is a battle of two Mississippi 8 clubs as they hope to work their way to a conference championship.

The Tigers (2-2) have a tremendous power play, operating at 45.5%, but they've lost some track meet type games for a .500 record. Princeton's forward group is led by senior Dalton Wille (9-1-10) as well as juniors Tim Donnay (1-2-3), Jake Baumann (2-1-3), and Jay Patnode (2-1-3). On defense, senior Brody Lindquist (0-3-3) and junior Alex Miller (0-1-1) will be tasked with slowing down the strong Wildcats' attack.

Head Coach Todd Frederick has rotated at goaltender between junior James Koecher (.907 save percentage) and seniors Ben Roth (.919 save percentage) and Ben Nelson (.853 save percentage). My guess is he'll allow Koecher to start against Chisago Lakes.

The Wildcats (4-0-1) have a high-powered offense, hoping to make some noise in section 5A this year. At forward, Chisago Lakes is led by seniors Nicholas Helland (5-13-18), Ryan Schmidt (9-8-17), and junior Cameron Stangl (5-4-9).

On defense, junior Nathan Bluhm (3-11-14) logs a lot of ice time and is the team's quarterback at the point. Chisago Lakes head coach Cory Lushanko has primarily used junior goaltender Jack Hanson (.941 save percentage) as the starter this year.
