Grand Rapids at Edina, Dec. 16 (8:30 PM)

Jimmy Clark, Edina

This is a great indicator game for both of these teams who hope to be playing at Xcel Energy Center this March. The Thunderhawks (5-2) are coming off back-to-back 4-3 overtime losses to Roseau and Warroad, respectively. They hope to get back on track against the Hornets. Grand Rapids is led at forward by seniors Joey DelGreco (9-10-19), Kaden Nelson (7-7-14), and Garrett Drotts (7-7-14) carry most of the offensive load.

Senior defenseman Easton Young (3-10-13) and junior Will Stauffer (3-5-8) are poised and contribute at both ends of the ice. Head Coach Wade Chiodo has given junior goaltender Myles Gunderson (1.92 goals-against-average) the majority of this season's starts.

The Hornets (4-0) are coming off an 8-0 rout of White Bear Lake and hope to stay undefeated against Grand Rapids. Edina's attack is led at forward by junior and Minnesota commit Jimmy Clark (5-7-12), senior and Arizona State commit Trey Fechko (4-5-9).

On defense, sophomore Eddie Revenig (1-6-7) and junior Caden Morgan (1-4-5) will do their best to slow down the Thunderhawks. Hornets' head coach Curt Giles has used junior goaltender Robbie Clarkowski (1.99 goals-against-average) in all four games this season.
