New Prague at Chanhassen, Dec. 18 (5:00 PM)

Chanhassen sophomore Gavin Uhlenkamp impressed on this summer's circuit while playing with the 2006 Minnesota Blades.

This is an intriguing Metro West battle as both of these clubs hope to challenge Chaska for the top of the conference standings. The Trojans (2-1-1) are led up front by freshman Luke Portner (5-0-5), sophomore Braeden Woitas (3-2-5), and senior Michael O'Rourke (2-2-4). Senior Layton Kuehner (1-0-1) and junior Mac Olson try to limit scoring chances by denying the middle of the ice on defense. Trojans' head coach Chris Lonke has used senior goaltender Carter Puente (1.90 goals-against-average) in all of their games this season.

The Storm (2-2) is coming off the confidence-building win against Class A Delano last week. Chanhassen is led at forward by sophomores Caden Lee (2-3-5), Gavin Uhlenkamp (3-1-4) and Jake Risch (0-3-3). On the blueline, sophomore Owen Buesgens (1-0-1) and senior Joe Gerebi (0-1-1) help limit opposing scoring chances giving the Storm a chance to ambush opponents. Chanhassen head coach Sean Bloomfield has had senior goaltender Sean Gates (.903 save percentage) start in all four games this season.
