Alexandria at River Lakes, Dec. 16 (7:15 PM)

Makenna Aure, Alexandria

This has all the makings of a good Central Lakes Conference battle between two teams trying to work their way to the top of the conference.

The Cardinals (3-4-1) are led at forward by seniors Hanley Block (6-2-8) and Kaci Trosvig (3-2-6), as well as junior Ella Westlund (3-3-6), who carry the majority of the offense for Alexandria. Senior defense MaKenna Aure (3-1-4) makes life miserable for opponents at either end of the ice. Head Coach Molly Arola has given senior goaltender Jordan O'Kane (.934 save percentage) the majority of the starts this season, but has used fellow senior HaileeAnn Bailey (1.50 goals-against-average) as well.

The Stars (4-4) are coming off against Sartell / Sauk Rapids. River Lakes is led at forward by freshman Sophia Hess (5-5-10), Abby Storms (3-3-6), and senior Jordyn Bebus (4-2-6). On defense, a duo of seniors, Minnesota State commit Kianna Roeske (8-5-13) and Paige Blattner (1-6-7) log a lot of minutes to keep opponents in check. Co-Head Coaches Alexis Klatt and Bryce Savage have used freshman goaltender Kaydence Roeske (.928 save percentage) for most of the starts this season, but they have given a few opportunities to Natalie Kayser (.887 save percentage) as well.
