Gentry Academy at Orono, Dec. 17 (7:00 PM)

This should be an intriguing clash between two metro-area clubs that bring a lot of talent and a lot of scoring to the table.

The Gentry Academy (5-2) attack is led by the junior trio of St. Thomas commit Cara Sajevic (7-8-15), St. Cloud State commit Alexa Hanrahan (3-6-9), and Grace Delmonico (4-1-5). On defense, junior and Minnesota State commit JuliAnna Gazdik (3-6-9) helps give the Stars a deadly-efficient 45% power play. Gentry Academy Head Coach Paige Jahnke has given Zoe Laming (1.67 goals-against-average) most of this year's starts.

The Spartans (10-1) sit atop the Metro West standings and are coming off a 3-2 overtime win against Class AA Eden Prairie. Orono is led at forward by a duo of seniors in Sacred Heart-commit Iyla Ryskamp (18-20-38) and UW-River Falls commit Kailey Niccum (9-11-20), as well as freshman Zoe Lopez (7-13-20).

On defense, Freshman Alex Paulsen (2-13-15) and sophomore Allie Pleimann (2-12-14) contribute well at both ends of the ice. Head Coach Sean Fish has given junior Celia Dahl (.940 save percentage) most of the goaltending work this season, but he has worked in 8th-grader Claire Hills as well.
