Edina at Wayzata, Dec. 21 (7:00 PM)

Uma Corniea, Edina

This should be a fantastic west metro clash between two clubs who are near the top of the always ultra-competitive Lake conference. Edina is coming off a 7-0 win over Buffalo on Saturday.

The Hornets attack is led by junior Ellie Chapman (8-5-13) and seniors Berit Lindborg (5-7-12, Ohio State commit), and Jane Kuehl (8-3-11, Princeton commit), as well as sophomore Hannah Halvorson (4-6-10). Senior defender and Wisconsin-commit Vivian Jungels (4-10-14) controls the game's pace.

Edina head coach Sami Reber will undoubtedly start junior and give Princeton commit Uma Corneia (.971 save percentage) the opportunity to shut down the Trojans.

Wayzata is coming off a hard-fought 3-3 tie to a talented North Wright County squad.

The Trojans are led at forward by senior and Ohio State commit Sloane Matthews (18-10-28), Mallory Coffin (5-5-10), as well as junior Courtney Jacobs (4-7-11) and freshman Nicole Britz (4-6-10). On defense, senior Sami Hackley (5-5-10) and junior and Long Island University-commit Samantha Mathe (0-3-3) support the attack but take care of business in their own zone as well.

Co-Head Coaches Dean and Taylor Williamson will no doubt give senior and St. Michael's-commit Annika Lavender (1.54 goals-against-average) the chance to stonewall the Hornets.
