Crookston at East Grand Forks, Dec. 21 (7:30 PM)

This northwestern Minnesota battle should be a bit feisty. The Pirates are coming off a 1-1 tie to Bemidji last week. Crookston is led at forward by sophomores Reese Swanson (5-8-13) and Brekken Tull (6-3-9), freshman Addison Fee (5-5-10), and senior Aleah Bienek (3-7-10).

On defense, sophomore Morgan Nelson (2-6-8) and senior Rylee Solheim (0-5-5) do an excellent job disrupting the opposition. Crookston head coach Emily Meyer will probably give senior Jacey Larson (.894 save percentage) the start. Still, she might give junior Kailee Magsam (1.90 goals-against-average) the opportunity as well.

The Green Wave is coming off a 2-0 loss to Grand Forks (ND) in non-conference play and hopes to get back in the win column against the Pirates. East Grand Forks attack is led by junior Kara Ellis (6-5-11), senior Kendra Emery (4-5-9), and Blake Schultz (4-3-7).

On defense, Eva Kleinvachter does what she can to funnel the play to the perimeter. Green Wave head coach Brian Larson will give senior goaltender Ashley Corbett (.840 save percentage) the start against the Pirates.
