This is a classic Big Nine Conference battle between two clubs who are very familiar with one another.

The Spartans are coming off a 7-1 loss to Luverne on Saturday. Rochester Mayo is led at forward by senior Elizabeth Arendt (5-4-9), sophomore Claire Siems (2-7-9), and freshman Katherine Cummings (7-2-9). On defense, sophomores Jadyn Lester (1-3-4), Franka Boesch (0-3-3), and Layla Rippentrop (2-1-3) give the Spartans good depth.

Rochester Mayo head coach Mike McCormack has split starts between freshman goaltender Grace Kober (.896 save percentage) and sophomore Alivia Haakenson (.868 save percentage) this season.

Austin is coming off a big 8-2 win against Big Nine foe Mankato West. The Packers are led up front by seniors Kate Holtz (15-7-22) and Megan Schultz (3-5-8), as well as junior Sarah Wangen (4-7-11). On defense, seniors Cassidy Davidson (1-2-3) and Samantha Krueger (0-3-3) keep it simple.

Austin head coach Troy Holtz has started sophomore goaltender Kyia Radford-Garcia (.879 save percentage) in every game this season.
