Morris/Benson at Detroit Lakes, Dec. 21 (5:00 PM)

This is a western Minnesota showdown between upstart Morris/Benson Area against an always tough to play against Detroit Lakes squad.

The Storm is coming off a 6-3 win against Worthington on Saturday. Morris / Benson is led at forward by seniors Brady DeHaan (3 goals, 2 assists, 5 points) and Brett Hansen (1-4-5), as well as juniors Ryan Tolifson (0-4-4) and Trevor Buss (2-3-5).

On the blueline, seniors Hunter Blume (1-0-1) and Sam Thompson (1-0-1) shoulder most of the minutes on the back end for the Storm. Morris/Benson head coach Jeremiah Day has a pair of sophomore goaltenders to choose between for this game. Either Christopher Danielson (.835 save percentage) or Nate Bratton (.893 save percentage) could get the start against the Lakers.  

Detroit Lakes is coming off 9-1 demolition of Crookston. The Lakers are led up front by seniors Spencer Bergman (7-4-11), Jordan Fields (2-8-10), and Beau Boehne (5-5-10), as well as juniors Cole Larson (3-9-12) and Carter Bellefeuille (5-3-8).

On defense, junior Jacob Thomas (4-4-8) and freshman Tommy Suckert (1-3-4) help disrupt the opposition. Head Coach Ben Noah has split starts between junior Josh Mack (.968 save percentage) and senior Elijah Blow (2.56 goals-against-average) at goaltender this season.
