Brainerd at Little Falls, Dec. 21 (7:15 PM)

Matt Filippi, Little Falls

This should be a spirited battle between two Central Lakes conference rivals.

The Warriors are coming off a hard-fought 5-4 win over Fergus Falls last week. At forward, the Warriors are led by juniors Max Roby (4-0-4) and Holden Larson (1-3-4), and senior Alex Jones (2-0-2). Brainerd's defensive corps is led by senior Cayden Kleffman (0-3-3) and junior John Finnegan (1-1-2).

Head Coach Howie Borden has had a bit of an adventure at goaltender as he's used three different players this season. Senior goaltender Jed Klang has logged the most minutes between the pipes for Brainerd, but don't be surprised if Borden goes with junior Brody Lund (.895 save percentage) against the Flyers.

Little Falls is coming off an 8-1 rout of Rapids / Rice on Saturday. The Flyers attack is led by power forward junior Matt Filippi (16-11-27), senior Hayden Johnson (7-13-20), and sophomore Carter Oothoudt (6-6-12).

On the Flyers' blueline, seniors George Moore (5-9-14) and Collin Kray (2-7-9) can bring the offense from the point, which is why Little Falls' power play is connecting at 31.2%. Head Coach Joey Hanowski has given senior D.J. Kicker (7-0 record) has carried most of the goaltending load this season.
