This is an interesting matchup of two south-central Minnesota clubs. The Eagles rallied with four third-period goals in a 6-2 win over Morris / Benson heading into this duel. 

Windom is led at forward by Presley Docktor (13-8-21) and senior Ellyson Bang (11-5-16), who carry most of the offensive load for the Eagles. On defense, junior Madelyn Schumacher (3-3-6) is an all-situations player and logs many minutes for Windom. Eagles' head coach Bill Fredin will probably give junior Kaylie Baerg (.846 save percentage) the start against the Cougars.  

The Cougars rallied from a 3-2 deficit to score twice in the 3rd for a 4-3 win over Litchfield / Dassel-Cokato. Mankato East is led up front by McKenzie Keller (11-5-16), junior playmaker Kailey Newton (4-10-14), and sophomore Jess Eykyn (6-7-13).

On defense, 8th-grader Ava Tibodeau (4-1-5) and junior Emmy Schultz (0-5-5) do what they can to shut down opposing skaters. Mankato East head coach Amber Prange will likely give junior goaltender Anna Rader (.909 save percentage) the start against Windom.
