This is a matchup of two southeast metro teams that could have some seeding ramifications for section 3AA as they play in the Burnsville tournament.

The Wolfpack are coming off a 4-0 loss to Bloomington Jefferson. Cottage Grove is led at forward by juniors Molly Villas (7-9-16), Taylar Nadler (4-4-8), and sophomore Maggie Jensen (6-5-11). On defense, sophomore Sam Miller (3-3-6) is the Wolfpacks' best defender. Park of Cottage Grove head coach Steve Morse will likely give sophomore goaltender Tori Stepka (.913 save percentage) the start against Apple Valley.  

The Eagles are coming off a 4-4 tie to arch-rival Lakeville North. The Eagles attack is led by a pair of freshmen in Makayla Moran (15-14-29) and Avery Ryan (6-5-11), as well as junior Marie Moran (8-11-19), which accounts for most of Apple Valley's offense.

On defense, 8th-grader Annabelle Cozy (3-1-4) and freshman Lydia Vonderhaar (0-4-4) are doing their best to limit opponents' offensive opportunities. Apple Valley head coach Don Erdall will probably give junior goaltender Taylor Cozy (.875 save percentage) the start against the Wolfpack.
