This matchup has some Section 8AA seeding ramifications as the Warriors make their way down to the Furniture & Things Center in Elk River.

The Warriors are coming off a 6-1 loss to Duluth East. The Warriors are led at forward by juniors Max Roby (6-1-7) and Holden Larson (1-2-3) as well as senior Alex Jones (2-1-3).

On defense, junior John Finnegan (1-2-3) and sophomore Ryan Kennedy (0-2-2) try to hold opposing skaters in check. Brainerd head coach Howie Borden will probably give junior goaltender Brody Lund (.890 save percentage) the start against the Elks. 

Elk River/Zimmerman is coming off a 6-1 rout of Northwest Suburban arch-rival Anoka. The Elk attack is led by seniors Blake Johnson (11-12-23), Andrew Foss (6-10-16), and Blaise Schutt (8-6-14).

On defense, senior Jackson Skyberg (4-7-11) and junior Carter Davis (3-5-8) help chip in at both ends of the ice. Elks' head coach Ben Gustafson will most likely give sophomore goaltender Sam Stockman (.924 save percentage) the start against Brainerd.
