Commentary

Not much fluctuation this week with the 15A's...except Forest Lake who came to Blaine on a mission and won the Dangelfest. The Rangers have three good lines, some solid defenders and a great goalie. With the top three or four teams locked in, it will be fun to see if teams like FL can break through.

We learned a lot about the 15B level last week when saw how good GR-G and Brainerd-LF can be. The Lightning won the Danglefest and the Warriors took the consolation after losing their only game to GR-G. EP loses their first game of the year, but hold down number one...for now.

Commentary

What a week in 12A.

With all but one top-10 team in the Danglefest last week, the rankings became very clear. Or very foggy, depending on how you look at things. CP-CR enters the the T10 for the first time with a nice win over Bemidji. The Lumberjacks reel off three in a row and grab the Consolation.

Tonka and Wayzata made the biggest statements with semifinal wins over the current queens of girls hockey - Andover and Edina. Their championship game on Saturday was one for the ages - Wayzata extends their winning streak to 17 games with a come-from-behind win over the Skippers. Both teams move up this week.

No changes this week in U12B rankings, even after a holiday break. No. 1 Luverne wins the Danglefest in Blaine at the Super Rink, improving its record to 19-0-1.

No. 10 Mankato improved its win streak to seven games since a loss to Mora/Pine City Green, outscoring its last three opponents by a combined 37-0.

Commentary

The only two letters you need to know in 10A hockey is C-C. The Stormhawks fought through a tough pool and beat top-5 Wayzata in the semis before they beat a red-hot Edina team. Edina beat defending champ Minnetonka to earn their way to the championship and a spot in the top-10. Woodbury slides out of the top-spot.

Duluth (Black) jumps up two spots this week based on an undefeated record and a cumulative goal differential of 65-16.

Waconia also moves up two spots to number four, and the Blue Jays are on a six game win streak.

Three teams are new this week at No. 8 Woodbury (Royal), No. 9 (Hibbing), No. 10  Duluth (Red). The Predators make their way into the rankings after a strong showing at the YHH Danglefest in Blaine, capturing the 10B championship in a dominant win over Rochester.
