Cambridge/Isanti at Sauk Rapids-Rice, Jan. 4 (7:15 PM)

This is a battle between two teams hoping to make more noise in the 2nd half of the season. The Bluejackets are coming off a 5-2 win over Hibbing/Chisholm.

Cambridge-Isanti is led at forward by sophomores Seth Terhell (5-4-9) and Will O'Donovan (6-3-9), and seniors Treyten Green (4-3-7) and Jaxon Jones (3-6-9). On defense, seniors Andrew Aljets (1-5-6) and Jake Brown (3-1-4) log a lot of minutes for the Bluejackets. Cambridge-Isanti head coach Jarad Ziebarth has given freshman Jaxon Sibell (.949 save percentage) most of the starts this season.

The Storm is coming off a 3-1 win over Monticello, their lone win in 3 games at the Granite City Classic in St. Cloud. Sauk Rapids/Rice's attack is led by senior Easton Portner (7-6-13), and juniors Luke Pakkala (4-3-7) and Ethan Euteneur (3-1-4) carry the majority of the offensive load for the Storm.

On the blueline, senior Noah Jensen (0-3-3) and 6-foot-2 junior Nolan Thell (0-2-2) keep it simple and play with physicality. Sauk Rapids/Rice head coach Brady DeGagne has used three different goaltenders, including senior Cole Young (.838 save percentage), sophomore Zander Parker (.800 save percentage), and 8th-grader Landon Jennings (.744 save percentage).
