Rock Ridge at Duluth Marshall, Jan. 6 (7:00 PM)

This should be an intriguing all-northern battle between two clubs who have never faced each other before. Rock Ridge is coming off a 5-3 win over Visitation played at St. Paul's Tria Rink last week.

The Wolverines are led up front by Natalie Bergman (9-6-15) and Kylie Barazelli (6-5-11). On defense, Jennie Krause (2-4-6) and Katie Johnson (0-3-3) do what they can limit scoring chances from in close. Rock Ridge has used goaltender Daisy Andrews (.831 save percentage) for all of the Wolverines' starts this season.

The Hilltoppers have been waiting to play after back-to-back cancellations in games against Chisago Lakes and Holy Family, which would've been strong indicators if Duluth Marshall should be considered among the state's elite teams.

Duluth Marshall is led at forward by the 1-2 punch of sophomore Ilsa Lindaman (13-11-24) and senior Annika Lindgren (3-24-27). On defense, sophomore Eva Etter (1-3-4) and freshman Fianne Makela (1-1-2) keep it simple. Duluth Marshall head coach Amanda Boulier has given freshman goaltender Rae Anderson (1.29 goals-against average) most of the starts this season.
