Minnetonka made that perfectly clear on Sunday, when the Skippers hung six goals on the board in the third period to thump Moorhead 6-1 in the Squirtacular Platinum Division championship finals.
Noah Stout drew first blood for the Spuds in the opening period, and the boys from the Red River Valley held that 1-0 lead until Skippers made port 36 seconds into the third frame.
Platinum Division Most Valuable Player Will Stinson notched a pair of goals for the Skippers, with Rocco Pasqua, Leo Bender, Henry Hoffman, and Walker Penhollow all chipping in a single score.
2022 marks the first time in the the 10 years of the Squirtacular that Minnetonka has claimed the tournament's top prize.
