Visitation at North St. Paul/Tartan, Jan. 26 (5:00 PM)

Visitation hopes to improve their seeding in a section that features South St. Paul, Chisago Lakes, and Simley. In contrast, North St. Paul/Tartan hopes to grab a better seed in Section 4AA with the likes of Gentry Academy, Stillwater, and Hill-Murray. North St. Paul/Tartan defeated the Blazers 7-0 early in the season, but can the co-op program earn a sweep?

Visitation is coming off a 10-0 rout of Prairie Center. The Blazers are led up front by talented freshman Gracia Munoz (39 goals, 28 assists, 67 points) and senior Hannah Allen (10-22-32), who carry most of the load offensively.

On defense, 8th-graders Abby Hemauer (23-26-49) and Daniella Krech (3-12-15) have gained valuable experience and have steadily improved their play at both ends of the ice all season.

The Blazers will probably give senior Cady Pagel (.875 save percentage) the start against North St. Paul / Tartan.

North St. Paul/Tartan is coming off a 5-2 victory over Hudson (WI). They are led up front by seniors Jill Tabaka (16-14-30), Ella Roesler (9-14-13), as well as junior Riley Novak (6-8-14).

On defense, senior Elena Martinez (1-9-10) and sophomore Katelyn Hackman (3-5-8) try to keep it simple and limit opposing scoring chances by funneling the rush towards the boards.

North St. Paul / Tartan will likely give sophomore goaltender Nicole James (2.51 goals-against-average) the start against Visitation.
