Moose Lake Area at Duluth Marshall, Jan. 27 (7:30 PM)

This game has some significant seeding ramifications in Section 7A, as these two clubs battle one final time for what will likely be the No. 2 seed behind top-seeded Proctor/Hermantown. The Hilltoppers won 3-1 the last time these two clubs faced one another a few weeks ago.

The Rebels are coming off a 2-1 win over Duluth. Moose Lake Area has two solid scoring lines led by freshman Sandra Ribich (10-17-27), sophomores Gracie Hartl (15-4-19) and Megan Hattenberger (12-7-19), as well as senior Gabby Gamst (8-11-19).

On defense, freshman Hailie Klavu (7-14-21) and senior Raechel Painovich (5-13-18) are versatile two-way defenders who chip in well at both ends of the ice. They are a big reason the Rebels power play operates at 32.4% efficiency.

Moose Lake Area will give freshman goaltender Mallory Hartl (.941 save percentage) the start against the Hilltoppers.

The Hilltoppers are coming off a 3-1 win over Hibbing / Chisholm. Duluth Marshall is led at forward by senior Annika Lindgren (9-30-39), sophomore Ilsa Lindaman (22-17-39), and junior Meredith Boettcher (8-13-21).

On defense, freshman Fianne Makela (1-7-8) and sophomore Eva Etter (1-6-7) do a great job at disrupting the opposition and keeping pucks out of the high danger areas of the ice.

The Hilltoppers will give freshman goaltender Rae Anderson (2.15 goals-against-average) the start against the Rebels.
