Lakeville South at Lakeville North, Jan. 29 (3:00 PM)

Ryann Wright, Lakeville South

No. 9-AA Lakeville South won the first time these cross-town rivals played against one another, but can they get a regular-season sweep over Lakeville North?

The Cougars are coming off a 3-1 loss to South Suburban Conference foe Burnsville. Lakeville South is led at forward by a trio of seniors, Wisconsin commit Claire Enright (35-15-50), Minnesota State commit Taylor Otremba (15-22-36), and Ryann Wright (8-32-40).

On defense, Lilly Hunst (2-13-15) and sophomore Nicole McKinney (0-7-7) take care of their own end and move pucks efficiently up to the forwards.

Between the pipes, the Cougars have split appearances between senior Payton Lang (1.50 goals-against-average) and Claire Bronson (1.30 goals-against-average) this season.

Lakeville North is coming off a 5-2 loss to Shakopee. The Panthers are led up front by a pair of seniors, Dartmouth commit Meredith Jensen (19-16-35) and Gianna Gasparini (6-12-17), as well as sophomore Gracie Hanson (13-20-33).

On defense, sophomore Ashley Wagenbach (8-19-27) and senior Megan Olson (2-3-5) are the workhorses on the back end and contribute well at both ends of the ice.

In the crease, Lakeville North has split starts between 7th-grader Kaia Weiland (2.73 goals-against-average) and junior Tulie Boughan (.845 save percentage) this season.
