Gentry Academy at Lakeville North (Feb. 10, 7:00 PM)

Barrett Hall of Gentry Academy saw some action in the North American Hockey League, suiting up for the Minnesota Wilderness.

It has been an interesting first season for Section 4AA Gentry Academy after moving up from Class A a season ago, with some ups and downs. Still, the Stars now hope to prepare for section play with a rematch against Section 1AA Lakeville North. The Stars defeated the Panthers 2-1 earlier this season - could they earn a regular-season sweep?

Gentry Academy has the momentum of a 5-game winning streak going into this game. The Stars are led up front by senior Barrett Hall (16-9-25, who was recently interviewed by YHH) and juniors Wes Berg (17-9-26) and Reese Shaw (7-15-22).

On defense, senior Nathan Rickey (2-15-17) and junior Tyler Geyer (1-10-11) keep it simple in the offensive zone and in their own end.

Between the pipes, junior goaltender Anthony Zolezzi (2.07 goals-against-average) has the majority of the Stars' starts this season, but they have given senior Finn Willson (2.12 goals-against-average) opportunities as well.

The Panthers hope to keep making their case for locking down the No. 2 seed in Section 1AA by earning a series split with Gentry Academy. Lakeville North might still be a bit ornery after their 7-2 loss on home ice to Prior Lake last Saturday.

Lakeville North is led at forward by seniors Chase Camilli (10-13-23) and Luke Jech (12-7-19), as well as junior Kyle Doll (15-14-29), who provide the majority of the scoring punch up front.

On defense, seniors Zach Enebak (6-14-20), Jett Gibbons (1-8-9), and Wesly Brunello (3-4-7) are very efficient at forcing turnovers and quickly transitioning the puck out of their own zone.

In the crease, senior goaltender Finn Jacques (2.21 goals-against average) has carried the mail all season.
