Isaiah Paulnock led Eden Prairie to an improbable Peewee AA state championship this season.

Paulnock backstopped the Eagles to the 2019 Peewee AA state championship, no small feat considering the field that the Eagles faced during the season's final stage.

First, Paulnock and the Eagles knocked off top-ranked Chaska-Chanhassen 5-4 in the quarterfinals. Then Eden Prairie scored a win over close rival Edina 4-2 in the semifinals and followed that win with a 2-1 defeat of No. 2 Woodbury in the state championship game.

A technically sound goaltender with a big frame, Paulnock led the Eagles to a 34-14-5 record during the 2018-2019 season and had a penchant for coming up big in pivotal games, evidenced by his play during the postseason.

Since the season ended, there have been countless parents, from both the Eden Prairie association and from opposing teams, who have initiated conversation centered around Paulnock's exploits, a true sign of a memorable performance.
