Olivia King turned in one of the greatest performances in girls' state tournament history in 2019.

There may not be a more clutch goaltender, of either gender, than Olivia King.

A five-year varsity standout for the Warriors, King put on an absolute show during this season's Class 2A State Tournament, stopping 101 of 107 shots as the Warriors clawed their way to the state championship game against two-time defending champion Edina. Over the course of nearly five periods, King turned away 51 of 55 shots against the loaded Hornet lineup before Olivia Swaim knocked in a loose puck for Edina.

King finished the season with a record of 25-5-1 and five shutouts and played her best when the brightest lights were upon her. The senior played over 1,500 minutes for the Warriors while compiling a goals-against average of 1.61. King's GAA ranked among the state's best despite playing a difficult schedule.

Perhaps former Brainerd/Little Falls head coach Jim Ernstner said it best; "Olivia King is the type of player we want all young ladies to aspire to be."
