2005-2007 Division Recaps

2005 Invite

A three-team logjam at the top of the 2005 Invite Division standings makes for an exciting schedule for Sunday morning, with Fox Hockey, Blue Army, and Miracle Gold all knotted with 2-1 records. Fox Hockey earned the No. 1 seed and will face fourth-seeded Jr. Moose on Sunday. Miracle Gold and Blue Army square off in the other semifinal, with Blue Army coming off a 6-1 win over Miracle Gold. Fox Hockey shut out the Jr. Moose 7-0 on Saturday night.

2006 Invite

Fox Hockey lands alone on top in the 2006 Invite Division with a perfect 3-0 record after earning wins over the Minnesota Blades and the Minnesota Lakers on Saturday. Fox has been particularly impressive offensively, racking up 18 goals in just three games heading into Sunday's last set of games. Fox takes on Upper Midwest on Sunday morning, with the Warriors (2-1) posing a possible threat to Fox's supremacy.

2007 Invite

Both MPH Hockey and Viverant '07 enter Sunday as the top teams in the division with identical records of 2-0-1. MPH Hockey took both of its wins handily, scoring a 7-1 win over the Lake Superior Stars and a 9-2 victory over IceMen Blue. Viverant defeated IceMen Blue 6-4 and edged the Wisconsin Flyers 2-1. Viverant and MPH tied at 4-4 on Saturday.  The 2007 Invite Division championship game is scheduled for 3:45 P.M. on Sunday.

Connor Wavrin scored two goals for FOCA in Saturday's loss to the Minnesota Lakers.

2008-2009 Division Recaps

2008 Invite

Much like the 2005 Invite Division, three teams are tied at the top of the 2008 Invite Division standings, but due to tiebreakers, the Minnesota Generals take the No. 1 overall seed into Sunday. The Generals will take on the Northern Wings on Sunday morning, while No. 2 seed Thunder Bay faces third-seeded Wisconsin Flyers. The Generals, Predators, and Flyers all hold 2-1 records through three games.

2009 Invite

Two teams remain undefeated in this division, but Machine Orange gets the nod ahead of the Minnesota Blades with a spotless 3-0 record. Orange has picked up wins over FHC, the Yuro Stars and Hometown Hockey so far this weekend. The Blades are 2-0-1, with the line tie coming against the Yuro Stars by a score of 6-6. The Blades and Machine Orange will go head-to-head at 8 A.M. on Sunday.
