For the fifth consecutive June, the Youth Hockey Hub and historic Bloomington Ice Garden will host the top players at the Squirt Major level, with this season's skaters being members of the 2008 birth year. 

Fourteen teams from all over the continent will make the trek to Minneapolis and Bloomington for a packed week of games, including a handful of contests played at 3M Arena at Mariucci, home of the five-time NCAA Men's Hockey national champion Minnesota Golden Gophers. A concept born last season out of an ice necessity, the Mariucci staff has been kind enough to host 10 games in Dinkytown. 

The teams have been split into two conferences, Jefferson and Kennedy, a nod to the two public high schools that reside in Bloomington. All games will be live-streamed on Youth Hockey Hub and can be viewed for free both live and in the video archive. Games will include team-specific entrance songs, national anthems, starting lineups, and postgame Player of the Game presentations. The selected Player of the Game will be interviewed on the ice immediately following the contest.   

Monday 

Media Day - Media will consist of player head-shots, individual player photo, team photo, and a short interview. Each player will be asked to tell the camera his name, hometown/state/province, his winter team, and their favorite player.

Player Introductions - For every first game on Monday (two teams play twice), players will be asked to remove their helmet after warm-ups and lineup on the goal line for introductions. When their name is called, they are asked to skate to the blue line and face the video camera. 

Tuesday

3M Arena at Mariucci - Almost all teams will play a game at Mariucci Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Entrance to the building will be marked with lawn signs on 4th Street SE on the opposite side of the front/main entrance.

Wednesday

Nothing unique Wednesday other than most teams will play two games.

Thursday

Mariucci - See Above

Twins Game - We have purchased over 400 tickets for our group to see two of the best teams in the American League play Thursday afternoon. Weather permitting, it should be a great afternoon away from the rink.

Friday

Quarterfinals - The top four (of seven) teams will play in the Quarterfinals on Friday morning. Winners set to play in the Semifinals later that night.

Continental Divide - The tournament is broken into two, seven-team divisions. Beginning on Friday, there will be 8 games and 5 Skills competitions to determine which Division wins the Continental Divide. Four of the games with 3 points per game are the Quarterfinal games. Three more games will be the Crossover games between the three teams that don’t make Bracket Play (5v5, 6v6, 7v7). The deciding game will be played Saturday in the Wicked Rags All-Star Game prior to the Championship game.  The Division with the most points wins the Continental Divide and gets their Division name on The Show trophy and a chance to be photographed at center ice Saturday. 

Skills Competition - The Wicked Rags Skills Competition will be held at BIG 1 following the AM games at 3:00 PM. One player from each non-Semifinal team will be chosen to do one skill (skating, shootout, shooting, etc.). The top skill winner will receive an invite to the All-Star game on Saturday and a prize from Wicked Rags. 

Semifinals - Following the Semifinals Friday night, we will announce the 17 All-Star team players for each conference on YHH (Five Skills winners plus the 12 at-large choices). Each team will have at least one member of their squad represented in the game Saturday.

Saturday

All-Star Game - The All-Star game will be a 1.25-hour game played with two 21-minute halves. Both goalies will be slotted to play each half. The coaching staff from Semifinal losing team will coach All-Stars.

Championship Game - All teams must be present at the Championship game. Our goal is to give players in the final game a full rink of fans to play before.

All-Tourney Team - After the championship game, YHH will announce its all-tournament team prior to handing out the championship trophy to the championship team. All-Tournament Team members will receive a jersey. Players must be present to be named to the team.
