Stars win....Tony Scott nearly killed.

Everyone gets a trophy...

#1....Gavyn Thoreson (Andover)

After the first week of the Bantam Elite League season, every full-time team got a win and have a lot to build on for next weekend in Richfield. The Penguins have not lost, Wisconsin left St. Thomas 3-1 and the North Stars learned to play defense in their final two games and got two shootout wins.

At the end of the day Sunday, every team has a bright future in a very well balanced league.

The Bantam Elite League has been filled with many great stories over the past five seasons. Some of the best stories are players who have been lurking in the shadows and burst onto the scene. In 2016, Chaska's Shane Lavelle wowed teams with his hands, grit and power. Last year, Adam Marshall broke out with a great month for the Sharks.

This year, a kid from Lakeville - Wyatt Albrecht had a weekend to remember for the Bruins. On Saturday he had a four assist game in their shootout win over the Rangers. Sunday he had a hat trick in the B's 8-4 loss to the Kings. Wyatt is a powerful skater who is use to taking over games physically. But his hands and finesse have really improved since his PeeWee AA days skating along side Tanner Ludtke for Lakeville South.

Tony's Top 3

3. Quinn Finley (Wisconsin) - Super quick feet, always finds a way to be in a scoring position. Has 10 points so far in four games for the Red Sea.

2. Zam Plante (North Stars) - Does a lot for his team. He's a leader by example. He's playmaker with the puck and without it. Assisted all three goals and then snuck one past Sharks goalie Carson Musser in the shootout.

1. Gavyn Thoreson (Kings) - Thoreson is the complete package. High skill, plus a lot of grit. Sunday, his hard work paid off netting two goals and two assists in their big win over the Bruins.

Eli Miller (Northfield) had two big goals for the Pens Sunday and was named POTG
