Rangers Earn First Win Of BEL Season

The Rangers are a new concept for the Bantam Elite League this season, a team that is filled in each weekend with talented players that are not on traditional BEL rosters.

On Sunday, the Rangers made their mark on the league, edging the league-leading Sharks 5-4 in the final game of the day. Ben Miller paced the Rangers with a goal and two assists, with Luke Giuliani adding a pair of goals. Brodie Ziemer and Zach Boren each chipped in a goal in the win for the Rangers. Devin Cardenas, Jimmy Clark, Kellen Stokes, and Bryce Laager all scored once for the Sharks in the loss.

Matthew Vander Vort jump-started the Bruins with a pair of goals early in the first half, and the B's carried that momentum to a 6-2 win over Team Wisconsin. In addition to Vander Vort's tallies, Wyatt Olson scored twice, and Jack Ohlund and Finn Brink each tacked on a goal for the Bruins. Scoring for Team Wisconsin were Quinn Finley and Carter Daul.

Team North Dakota bounced back after a loss on Saturday night with a come-from-behind win over the Kings. The Peace Garden boys tied the game with a goal from Landon Dauner with just 1:18 left in regulation, setting the stage for Dauner to steal the day with the game-winner with 23 ticks left on the clock. Mason Reynolds and Dillon Jackson also scored for Team North Dakota in the win, while the Kings got goals from (guess who) Gavyn Thoreson and Landen Gunderson.

The North Stars rolled to their fourth win of the weekend with a 4-1 triumph over the Bolts to start the afternoon session, scoring three times in the first half of the victory. Kade Kohanski, Abe Carlson, Aaron Reierson, and Max Roby all notched goals for the North Stars. Oddly enough, the goal-scorers for the North Stars were numbers 11, 12, 13, and 14 on the roster. Jake Fisher tallied the lone goal of the loss for the Bolts.
