All-Tournament teams for all three divisions, plus highlights from a wild weekend in Bloomington.

True North, Blue Army, MN Fire Crowned

The third annual Western States Invitational concluded during the second weekend of September, with a smattering of talented teams competing in Bloomington, Minnesota. 

True North took home the title in thrilling fashion two Sunday's ago, edging Blue Army 3-2 in a shootout. Cameron Bullinger and Dawson McCann netted goals during the one-on-one's, while Kyle Abrahamson stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout. Abrahamson and his True North goaltending partner, Nolan Astrup, earned co-Most Valuable Player honors for their performances.  

The 14U Division championship went to Blue Army, which dominated play en route to a 4-0 win over the Green Bay Jr. Gamblers. Aidan Willis, Ashton Dahms, Liam Hupka, and Joel Sylvester all scored once in the victory for Blue Army, with Dahms taking home MVP honors.

The Minnesota Fire trounced Great Plains 5-2 in the finals for the 12U Divison, paced by two-point performances from Jack Stanius, Conrad Fondrk, and Cooper Siegert. Fondrk led the division in scoring with 10 goals and 15 points, picking up an MVP nod along the way.
