Boys: Shattuck-St. Mary's 2, Walleye 0

The Walleye nearly escaped the lake, but eventually, their adversary reeled them in.

Wave after wave of talent came over the boards for Shattuck-St. Mary's, which outshot the Walleye by a roughly two-to-one margin, with two of the Sabre shots finding twine in a 2-0 victory.

The Sabres scored once each in the first period and second period, with goals coming from Zeev Buium and Cooper Pierson. Drew Mackie, who totaled seven points in Saturday's win over the Loons, assisted on Pierson's goal. Mackie's weekend total in two games was eight points.

Girls: Lakers 6, Moose 1

The Lakers exploded for four goals in the second and two more scores in the third for a 6-1 win over the Moose to capture the 14U Girls Minnesota District championship.

The goals came in rapid succession for the Lakers, as Ava Guillemette, Kendra Distad, Annabel Mehta, and Sienna Duffy each scored once within 10 minutes of each during the second frame. Delaney Fleming put the Moose on the board early in the third to pare the Laker lead to 4-1, but Ava Lindsay and Lindzi Avar nullified the Moose momentum for the final score of 6-1.

The Lakers finish the season with a remarkable record of 18-0-1, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 126-22.
