About Northstar Christian Academy

Since September 1st, 2018, Northstar Christian Academy has offered student-athletes a faith-based academic and athletic haven, a place where high school students grow equally in their respective spiritual, scholastic, and competitive areas.

The school was founded by Rick Randazzo, a graduate of the United States Military Academy and former head coach of the men's hockey program at the United States Naval Academy. Randazzo's journey to the inception of NCA came through his "50 States, 50 Cities" tour, in which Rick, his wife Shannan, and their children crisscrossed the United States under the banner of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

For nearly five years, the Randazzo clan spread the Christian gospel across the nation through the sport of hockey, culminating in Rick's inspiration to build Northstar Christian Academy.

From the school sprung the hockey program, which has established itself as one of the top Tier I Under-18 organizations in the country. Currently, the Knights are 28-1 and ranked as the No. 2 team in the MyHockeyRankings Independent Prep poll, and twelfth in the U18 ratings.

Students hail from a dozen different states and multiple countries, making for a diverse and dynamic learning environment that is committed to honoring their faith through athletics and academics.
