Teddy Townsend, Eden Prairie
In 2019, Teddy Townsend helped his Eden Prairie Eagles capture a state championship after a surprise run through the Peewee AA State Tournament.
In 2021, Townsend led the Eagles back to the postseason Promised Land, racking up 51 goals and 98 points before the Eagles fell to Moorhead 3-1 in the quarterfinals. The Eagles rebounded with a 7-3 win over rival Edina 7-3 and earned consolation glory with a 4-0 victory over Hermantown.
Townsend's rocket-like skating, soft hands, and out-of-this-world hockey sense were on display all season, making him one of the top players in the country in his age group.
Townsend's Eagles go 33-8-4 during the 2020-2021 season and is a likely invitee to the National Team Development Program's Under-17 tryout.
Townsend recorded six goals and nine points during the 2020 Battle for the Blue Ox.
