2021 Sue Ring-Jarvi Player of the Year - Hannah Christenson

Christenson led Andover to a perfect 44-0 record during the 2020-2021 season

Hannah Christenson helped Andover to this year's 15UA state championship.

A proven winner at all levels, Christenson helped Andover to a spotless 44-0 record during the 2020-2021 season, and the Huskies did far more than just win games.

They absolutely dominated their competition.

Andover outscored its opponents 269-15 over the course of the season, including 14 games where the Huskies tallied nine or more goals, with Christenson powering the offensive attack in key roles across all game situations.

The Huskies captured the 15UA state championship last March, and Christenson was one of several Huskies to participate in this year's USA Hockey National Championships. She recorded seven points as her Green Giants, representing District 10, finished as national runners-up, falling to the Chicago Mission 2-1 in overtime.

The Sue Ring-Jarvi Girls Player of the Year Award is named after one of the pioneering figures in girls and women's hockey in the state's history. The Roseville native organized and played on the first University of Minnesota Women's Hockey Club Team in 1974. Ring-Jarvi, daughter of Jane Ring, another matriarch of the girls' hockey scene in Minnesota, helped form teams in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnetonka, Hopkins, Burnsville, Mounds View, Bloomington, and Roseville.

As a member of the Green Giants, Christenson finished second at this year's USA Hockey National Championships.
