High school season kicks off with 11 games on Thursday

The smell of the arena popcorn, the sounds of pucks knocking against the boards, and hockey moms are cheering their hearts out. These are telltale signs that high school hockey is back for the 115 Minnesota Girls High School Hockey programs. 

As we enter a season we hope should resemble normal, here are five matchups across the state that we think you should take a visit to if you happen to be in the area.

As the season progresses, the week's top games will be published every Monday, featuring games played from Monday to Thursday, and a Top Games of the Weekend published every Friday morning will feature contests played on Friday and Saturday.
