One player from each team that stood out after Friday's games. Players who earned Player of the Game honors are not eligible for "Yesterday's Heroes."

Coyote (Chicago Mission)
Joseph Krausfeldt

Tall and rangy, Krausfeldt held down the blueline for Coyote on Friday, adding a spark of offense with two assists in the evening victory over host SDP.

Yeti Tape (Detroit Honeybaked)
Cody Sokol

Quick feet, soft hands, and always move, Sokol creates even when he doesn’t mark the scoresheet. His ability to navigate the neutral zone and find space on the ice manufactures passing plays and zone entries that lead to legitimate scoring chances.

Little Caesars
Jacob Monks

Monks played distribution master on Friday, handing out four assists over the two games. He matches well with virtually every player in the Little Caesars lineup thanks to his varied skill set, making him an invaluable piece of the lineup.

Myhro Hockey
Anthony Pedalino

Pedalino’s steadiness on the backend pays dividends in all three zones, and his patience with the puck allows the Mhyro Hockey forwards to receive passes where they choose to, not where the puck has to be.

NorthStar Elite
Cam Nimmer

Do you want to see rockets attached to skates? Then Nimmer’s your type of player. The dynamic forward out of Ashburn, Virginia, is a threat to break free for a chance every time he’s on the ice, even if he’s held off the official scoresheet.

SDP Elite
Luke Puchner

With size and tools for days, Puchner is a 200-foot player who never stops moving on the ice, and when he gets ahold of a shot, goalies take cover. Pairs well with linemates Mikey Berchild and Nate Pederson to form an effective trio.

Southeast Elite
William Boyd

Already the leader in the clubhouse for the weekend’s most highlight-worthy goal, Boyd’s stickhandling and awareness in tight spaces on offense shows a keen hockey sense below the dots.

Windy City Hockey
Nathan Hauad

A lanky player with excellent reach and solid hands, Hauad’s hat trick on Friday night carried Windy City to a 7-1 win over Southeast Elite.
