One player from each team that stood out after Saturday's games. Players who earned Player of the Game honors are not eligible for "Yesterday's Heroes."

Coyote (Chicago Mission)
Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll

Gordon-Carroll notched three goals and three assists as Coyote took 5-1 wins over Yeti Tape and Southeast Elite on Saturday. A speedy forward with size, Gordon-Carroll can be effective in virtually all game situations for Coyote.

Yeti Tape (Detroit Honeybaked)
Michael Mahoney

Mahoney’s skating and stickhandling created several chances for Yeti Tape on Friday, a day where the boys from the Motor City managed just two goals in two games. Maintains puck possession well under pressure.

Little Caesars
Ethan Garden

On Saturday, Garden picked up two goals and five points in a pair of victories, displaying a knack for finding teammates before they become noticeably open to the rest of the ice.

Myhro Hockey
George Patsos

Patsos quietly goes about his business for Mhyro Hockey, but he’s certainly not quiet when he has the puck. He’s a shifty forward with good edges and notched a goal in Mhyro Hockey’s 4-3 loss against Windy City on Friday.

NorthStar Elite
Jacoby Weiner

Weiner dealt two losses yesterday as the lone goaltender on the NorthStar Elite roster, but the won/loss column does not indicate his impact on either game. Weiner stopped 68 pucks in those two games, including a 46-save performance against SDP.

SDP
Zane Torre

A power forward that can skate, Torre is an effective presence up the middle of the SDP lineup, recording a goal and three assists in two wins on Saturday. Whether he's playing low on offense, or leading the rush through the neutral zone, Torre must be accounted for by opposing teams.

Southeast Elite
Cade Strom

Strom's burst from standing still give him the jump on opposing players when it comes to puck chases. That speed allows him to close in on opposing puck carriers, forcing less-than-desirable decisions.

Windy City
Easton Walos

Walos handed out three assists in Windy City’s games on Saturday, both victories, 3-0 over NorthStar Elite and 4-3 over Mhyro Hockey. Walos’s gritty play is best seen along the boards, where his ability to force turnovers creates chances in the middle of the ice.
