Apple Valley at Rosemount - 7:00 PM
The Eagles take the trip east along Highway 42 to Rosemount to take on the Irish in their first of two meetings this season. The Eagles went 1-0-1 against the Irish last season.
Apple Valley is coming off a 3-2 victory over Northfield. The Eagles' forward group Apple Valley is led by seniors Makayla Moran (Minnesota State commit, 12 goals, 7 assists, 19 points), Katie Jensen (2-3-5), and Avery Ryan (1-7-8) along with junior Annabelle Cozy (1-6-7) bring plenty of experience and scoring ability. Sophomores Brinley Gretz (2-5-7) and Leila Korkowski (4-4-8) continue to be key contributors for the Eagles. Freshman Kamrin Turnquist (2-1-3) has been showing steady improvement each game.
Seniors Lydia Vonderhaar (2-1-3) and Olivia Priester (1-0-1) bring veteran experience to a young but skilled defense corps. Sophomores Jordyn Thies (2-0-2) and Vega Pearson (0-1-1), as well as freshman Makenzie Turnquist (2-1-3) like to join the play in the offensive zone.
Apple Valley has rotated goaltending duties between junior Eleanor Larson (2.50 goals against average) and sophomore Finley Engfer (2.75 goals against average) this season.
Rosemount is coming off a confidence-building 7-0 rout of East Ridge. Rosemount is led up front by sophomores Annalee Holzer (7-5-12), Talia Vescio (2-3-5), and Taylor Krieg (3-4-7), who are starting to catch fire offensively. Senior Aubrey Hansen (1-7-8) has been a guiding force for the group.
At defense, seniors Sophie Stramel (Minnesota State commit, 8-9-17), Zoe Juncker (1-4-5), and Madelyn Sundgren (1-1-2) lead the way on Rosemount's blueline. Junior Anamaria Paradise (0-2-2) and sophomore Madelyn Heusinkveld (0-1-1) provide support at both ends of the ice.
Rosemount's penalty kill has been a source of strength for the Irish, as they have yet to give up a power play goal this season.
At goaltender, the Irish have continued a rotation between junior Ana Ojala (.932 save percentage) and sophomore Gianna Marchese (.954 save percentage) this season.

The Stars make their way to Mound's Thaler Hockey Arena to battle the Whitehawks in their only regular-season meeting of the year.
Holy Angels is coming off a 2-2 tie against Orono. Seniors Masyn Mullin (4-3-7) and Calli Holmes (2-1-3) lead a young but talented group of Stars' forwards. Sophomores Avery Mullin (1-5-6) and Sailor Cate Schlener (2-1-3), as well as freshman Geni Nelson (2-7-9), have been significant offensive contributors for the Stars this season.
Senior Taylor Lesnar (6-2-8), as well as juniors Harper Poehling (1-4-5) and Riley Iverson (2-0-2) provide Holy Angels with quality depth on defense. Sophomore Julianna Hitchcock (0-2-2) has shown steady improvement each game.
Holy Angels' penalty kill doesn't give up much, shutting down opposing power plays at a 95.5% rate.
Senior goaltender Zoe Rimstad (Lindenwood commit, .951 save percentage) has carried most of the goaltending duties this season for the Stars, but they have given freshman Marley Severson (1 shutout) a chance to showcase her talents as well.
Mound Westonka/SWC is coming off a 6-1 rout of Luverne. The White Hawks are led at forward by seniors Elli Lundquist (3-3-6) and Gisella Harder (2-3-5), as well as junior Breylynn Koehler (0-3-3), who try to give the team a spark offensively.
On defense, juniors Ali Butler (2-5-7) and Lizzy Callahan (3-2-5), along with freshman Marian Omann (1-1-2), are two-way defenders who are very active at both ends of the ice.
The White Hawks' penalty kill has been a source of strength and confidence, and they have yet to surrender a goal this season.
At goaltender, Mound Westonka/SWC has rotated between juniors Emma Covell (.921 save percentage) and Savannah Blohowiak (2 shutouts) this season.

Thief River Falls at Fergus Falls - 7:00 PM
Thief River Falls makes its way down to Fergus Falls for the first of two regular-season meetings against the Otters. Fergus Falls went 2-0 versus the Prowlers last season.
The Prowlers are coming off a 5-2 loss to Bemidji. Thief River Falls is led at forward by senior Kali Knutson (4-10-14) as well as talented sophomores Lila Dalager (12-7-19) and Alexis Sawatzke (3-4-7), who carry most of the scoring for the Prowlers. Freshmen Parker Olsonawski (2-1-3) and Addi Lindgren (0-3-3) are showing lots of promise.
On defense, junior Marley Anderson (2-5-7), freshmen Grace Knutson (6-6-12) and AJ Brateng (0-4-4), as well as 8th-grader Rowan Kennet (0-2-2), support the puck well and do a decent job of limiting opposing scoring chances.
At goaltender, Thief River Falls has rotated between sophomores McKenna Carr (2.14 goals against average) and Faith Hartman (.861 save percentage) this season.
Fergus Falls is coming off a 6-4 loss to East Grand Forks. The Otters are led up front by juniors Hannah Johnson (6-6-12) and Brooke Zierden (1-2-3), sophomores Maddie Brimhall (7-1-8) and Averie Tonneson (3-3-6), who contribute most of the scoring for Fergus Falls.
Fergus Falls' power play is off to a strong start, lighting the lamp at a 43.8% rate.
On defense, juniors Shay Katzenmeyer (0-3-3) and Rachel Debrito (1-3-4), sophomore Maggie Greenagel (0-4-4), freshman Kynzie Zender (0-2-2) keep it simple in their own end of the ice.
At goaltender, sophomore Mia Olson (.893 save percentage) has started in every game this season for Fergus Falls.

Edina at Minnetonka - 12:15 PM
This classic Lake Conference showdown as the Hornets travel to Pagel Arena to face the Skippers for the first time this season. These two teams split their regular season series last year.
Edina is coming off a 4-0 victory over North Wright County. The Hornets are led at forward by senior Whitney Horton (St. Thomas commit, 5-5-10), juniors Lorelai Nelson (Penn State commit, 4-5-9), Cate McCoy (Dartmouth commit, 2-4-6) and Charlotte Theirl (3-4-7) give the Edina plenty of sting up front. Sophomores Kayla Starr (2-2-4) and Audrey Davis (5-3-8) are showing a lot of promise.
The Hornets' power play has been dangerous, lighting the lamp at a 58.3% rate this season.
On defense, senior Camille Debuc (Quinnipiac commit, 0-4-4), juniors Brenna Prellwitz (2-0-2) and Taylor Gardner, as well as sophomores Kaylan Kapsen (0-1-1), Libby Moe (0-6-6) and Lilly Horton help Edina control the pace of play.
At goaltender, seniors Nora Hannan (St. Thomas commit, .938 save percentage) and Reese McConnell (1.50 goals against average) have split starts this season.
Minnetonka is coming off a 10-1 rout of Alexandria. The Skippers are led by seniors Lauren Mack (Providence commit, 5-4-9), Senja Leeper (Bemidji State commit, 4-5-9), Ruby Rauk (Quinnipiac commit, 7-1-8), and Ellie Zakrajsheck (Minnesota-Duluth commit, 4-4-8). Along with junior Allison Ryan (0-3-3) and talented freshmen Sydney Boss Krohn (4-2-6) and Claire Sommerfeld (4-4-8) give Minnetonka formidable scoring depth.
On defense, seniors Bella Finnegan (Harvard commit, 1-4-5), Grace Larson (0-2-2), and Claire Christopherson (0-2-2), along with junior Claire Jelinek (1-5-6) anchor Minnetonka's blueline. Sophomore Jemma McAlexander (0-2-2) is demonstrating more confidence each game.
Senior Layla Hemp (Minnesota commit, .951 save percentage) has carried most of the goaltending duties for Minnetonka this season. Fellow senior Ashlyn Hazlett (Bemidji State commit, .923 save percentage) gives the Skippers another extremely capable option.

Hill-Murray at Holy Family - 1:00 PM
The Pioneers travel to the southwest metro to Victoria Recreation Center to take on the Fire of Holy Family. Hill-Murray won both games, and the two clubs played against one another a season ago.
The Pioneers are coming off an 8-1 rout of South St. Paul. Hill-Murray is led at forward by a talented trio of sophomores Jaycee Chatelain (8-11-19), Emily Pohl (9-11-20), and Elliana Engelhardt (8-8-16) who carry most of the scoring for the Pioneers. Senior Ella Hornung (Hamline commit, 4-2-6) provides experience and leadership in addition to offense. Freshman Gwynn Skoogman (2-6-8) is off to a fast start this season.
The Pioneers' power play is deadly efficient, as it has found the back of the net at a 41.7% rate this season.
On defense, seniors Josie Skoogman (2-3-5) and Kasey Senden (2-7-9), along with sophomore Addy McLay (0-4-4) and freshman Olivia Braunshausen (0-3-3) give the Pioneers are mobile, skilled and help the Pioneers transition quickly from defense to offense.
At goaltender, the Pioneers have split starts between junior Charlotte Oscarson (.888 save percentage) and 8th-grader Piper Tam (.914 save percentage) this season.
Holy Family is coming off a 5-2 victory over Blake. Holy Family is led at forward by star senior Josie Linn (New Hampshire commit, 7-2-9), juniors Ella Nonweiler (4-4-8), Chloe King (2-5-7) and Addy Cowan (1-6-7) and freshman Allie DeFauw (1-4-5) provide most of the scoring for the Fire.
On defense, senior Casey Cronin (0-5-5), along with juniors Katya Sander (Minnesota commit, 2-4-6) and Lilli DeFauw (1-1-2), will be tasked with keeping the Pioneers' dynamic attack at bay.
At goaltender, junior Kayla Swartout (.949 save percentage) has started in every game for the Fire this season.
