Commentary

Things are really starting to heat up in AA after this week.  In the past week or so, a lot of unranked or lower ranked teams are beating rankied or higher ranked teams.

Roseville has beaten OMG and WBL, Mahtomedi knocked off OMG and Stillwater beat Edina. Not to mention WBL nipped Rogers last weekend. Notice what district all four teams are from? Yes. District 2!

Shakopee sweeps the Star of the North to earn their way in the top-10 this week.

9 Detroit Lakes 15 LWWW
10 Edina 6 WLW

Commentary

A fairly light week of games this week means minimal rankings movement. Rock Ridge is up one spot to No. 4; the Wolverines have only lost four games to ‘A’ teams this year. Detroit Lakes and Edina are both new to the rankings this week at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.

Commentary

No. 1 Prior Lake is nearing a thirty win milestone. The Lakers are currently unstoppable at 28-0 and are outscoring opponents 150-30. Bemidji Blue is up two spots this week to No. 5. The Lumberjacks have not lost in a month, and that was to No. 1 Prior Lake. Newly ranked No. 7, St. Francis, is having a season to remember at 21-5.

9 Blaine 10 LWW
10 Buffalo 5 WWW

Commentary

Kind of a bland week in PWAA. OMG beats Edina in the only top-5 matchup. Woodbury and Tonka leapfrog the Hornets.

Chaska loses twice, all but one of their losses this year have come to top-10 teams. They remain number 8.

Buffalo stays at 10 with a 2-1 win over Rogers Sunday.

8 Warroad 16 DNP
9 Minnetonka 6 WW
10 Bloomington Jefferson 6 WL

Commentary

The top six teams this week only lost one game combined; therefore, there was no movement within the top six. Edina was unranked last week but upset district foe No. 8 Bloomington Jefferson and No. 10 Minnetonka. The Hornets are now in the rankings at No. 7.

8 St. Louis Park 11 W
9 Rosemount Gold 8 WW
10 Dodge County 9 W

Commentary

The current top ten goes a combined 14-0 this week, so the rankings stay the exact same as last week. No. 1 IGH/South St. Paul is dominating at this level with a 21-0-3 record and is outscoring opponents 180-32 on the season. East Metro is a team that is not in the current top ten but a team to watch out for as playoffs near.

The #3 Skippers have won five of their last six. They were jumping for joy after their win over Stillwater Sunday at the X.

Commentary

The race to the Squirtacular is on. Teams have their pins in hand (including our team at YHH).  Three teams are unbeaten (Woodbury Royal, Chaska Chan and EGF).

We saw Minnetonka and Stillwater yesterday...they will not be easy to beat in Blaine.

Commentary

Woodbury Black is on a current four-game win streak and takes over the top spot in SQB this week. Wadena is having an impressive season, outscoring opponents 138-45; the Wolverines move up 2 spots to No. 2. Waconia is on a six-game win streak, which earns the Wildcats a spot back in the rankings at No. 10.
