Commentary

Not much changed this week in rankings. Seems Minnetonka and Moorhead are the only two constants in Bantam AA this year.  It seems like teams ranked from 3-15 could all knock each other off in Regions and State.

Moorhead fell to Grand Forks 7-6 on Saturday. A rough weekend for Spud teams in high scoring overtime thrillers.

Unranked Shakopee tied Minnetonka...keep an eye on the Sabers!

10 Moorhead Black 15 WLWW

Commentary

Prior Lake stayed at No. 1 all season with a record of 40-1; it would be surprising if anyone but the Lakers won state. Lakeville South cracked the top five in our final rankings; the Cougars look to make a nice run in the playoffs. Wayzata Gold is back in our rankings at No. 9, as the Trojans are on a six-game win streak.

PeeWee AA (FINAL)

Commentary

The regular season is over. Tonka finished the 34-5-0 with single losses to OMG (last week), Woodbury, East Grand Forks and two losses to D6 rival Edina.

The playoff push to Moorhead begins this week. Duluth East and Hermantown will square off in the Duluth area for a best of three battle for the sole D11 bid to Regions.

PeeWee A (FINAL)

Minnetonka takes the #7 spot. (pic. Vincent Restrepo)

10 Edina 6 WW

Commentary

For the final PWA ranking, the top nine remain the same. Cottage Grove and Osseo/Maple Grove both finish with above 40 wins on the year. This level seems more wide open than others, and anyone in the top ten can win. Edina is new in the final rankings at No. 10; the Hornets just defeated previously ranked No. 10 Bloomington Jefferson.

PeeWee B (FINAL)

Grand Rapids Orange takes the #2 spot.

7 Dodge County 9 DNP
8 Alexandria Black 15 WWW

Commentary

The top seven stay the same for the final rankings in PWB. North Shore is 27-7 on the season and jumps back into the rankings at No. 9 this week. The top three in the rankings are the main state title contenders between EGF Green, Grand Rapids Orange, and White Bear Lake Orange.

THESE ARE NOT FINAL RANKINGS

We will replace this week's staff rankings at the completion of the Fargo International tournament.

Tonka gets their first win over Chaska Chan this week in district play. The Skippers don't leapfrog the Stormhawks quite yet.

East Grand Forks continues to impress - the Greenwave are 19-2.

Edina White skates past Edina Green this week 5-1.

Commentary
